We Put student athletes first
The foundation of Inside the Cage was created to help student-athletes compete and succeed during and after college. And that’s exactly what we plan to do today, and every year.
Founded by Johnathan Cyprien is on a mission to help Student Athletes thrive in NIL while also building the foundation for a successful future.
Our athlete-first strategy is built on the core values of integrity, inclusivity, empathy and empowerment. We use these core values to build strategic partnerships with companies and organizations that provide mentorship and employment opportunities to all student-athletes during and after college.
On top of that, we started our very own non-profit organization called Panther Territory. This organization will focus on education in financial literacy, mental health, and the betterment of local communities through sports. Our student-athletes will have the opportunity to host and run sport camps at local schools and organizations, all funded by Panther Territory.
Inside the Cage’s ultimate goal is to serve as a support and facilitating system for the student-athletes in the NIL era so that current players can have the financial security and resources to perform at their best on the field and in the community.

Our mission is to cultivate and facilitate player collective and NIL opportunities for 1,000 student-athletes by 2025 to ensure our student-athletes have the platform, resources, and support to be successful during and beyond college.

Johnathan Cyprien
Johnathan Cyprien (aka Cyp) is a free agent strong safety in the NFL. A native of Miami, Cyprien attended North Miami Beach High School and was named to the Miami Herald’s All-Dade and All-District 12-6A first teams.
Cyp received an athletic scholarship to attend Florida International University and play football from 2009 to 2012.
As a Panther, he earned all-conference honors and set school records for solo tackles, total tackles, and forced fumbles. He ranks among the all-time best for pass breakups, interceptions, and fumbles recovered.
Cyp was selected 32rd overall in the 2013 NFL draft by Jacksonville Jaguars, making him the lowest drafted player in FIU history. He has also played with the Tennessee Titans, Philadelphia Eagles, Atlanta Falcons, and San Francisco 49ers, and is currently a free agent.
In 2015, he founded the CYP SQUAD, a nonprofit organization that focuses on providing young people with the tools, opportunities, and exposure to unleash their full potential. The CYP SQUAD has partnered with the community to provide camps, school supplies, and food drives locally and across the country in the last six years.
Along with his community work, Cyp has a burgeoning career in commercial real estate. Having built a portfolio of properties throughout the country, he was recently appointed to the Redevelopment Advisory Board of North Miami Beach.
Most recently Johnathan has started Inside the Cage, a NIL company that focuses on supporting and providing opportunities for Golden Panther Athletes.

Bradley Davis
Born and raised in Clewiston, Florida, Brad came to FIU in 2003 with hopes of starting a men’s FIU Golf team. Unable to create enjoy momentum to build a team, he ended up graduating in 2007 from the CARTA of Journalism and Media focused on advertising.
Since then, Brad has gone on to navigate a successful digital and branding career working with brands like Pepsi, Bud Light, Heineken, Microsoft, Boston Red Sox, Walmart, and more.
After a three-year stint in the northeast, co-founding and running a startup, Brad moved back to Miami and immediately jumped into the Golden Panther community.
Since then, Brad founded and runs an athlete branding agency helping professional and college athletes build their personal brand online.
Meeting through a mutual friend, Brad and Cyp immediately connected and saw an opportunity to impact student-athletes lives at FIU through the new changes with name, image and likeness. And Inside the Cage was born.
